When you go shopping for your next bike I would suggest you stick with belt drive, whatever brand you choose. After having a Savage and it's simple, clean, quiet, smooth, efficient belt you will never be happy with a chain or a shaft. If you want to "move up" from a Savage, I would suggest you check out a couple of Harleys. The Low Rider is very much like the Savage, only bigger so you might like it. I like the "buckhorn" or pull back handlebars rather than the flat bars. I even put a set of pull back risers on my bike to bring them back a little more.
